Pocket Spring mattresses are available from 800 pocket spring upwards.  The higher the spring count, the firmer the support which can help to support a heavier person.  Invidual springs allowing for individual comfort. Mattresses have a combination of both pocket springs and  fillings or comfort layer.  The comfort layer can be Polyester, memory foam, gel foam, latex foam or natural fibres i.e Wool, silk and cotton. The combination gives the mattress its feel, whether it be softer or firmer.  There is no real recommendation, as each individual needs to decide this for themselves.
