Visit Beds for Everyone - Open 7 days a week

BEEN AWAY ON HOLIDAY AND HAD A BETTER NIGHTS SLEEP?

Then this is a wakeup call for it's time to change your mattress.  We have over 20 mattresses on display for you to try.  We encourage everyone to try out with their partners, as sometimes there needs to be a compromise.

OR MAYBE

Its time to Change to a larger bed and mattress.  Often hotels and villas have Kingsize and Superking size beds, which gives each person more personal space and a better night's sleep.  However, these are large beds and you need to make sure you have enough space in your bedroom to get around the bed and to open any doors and drawers without being restricted.  Also the entrance and stairs can be a problem for getting a larger bed, so make sure you check this out first before ordering.  We can also come out FREE OF CHARGE in our local area to inspect the entrance and stairs to make sure.

WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU MAKE DECISIONS, WITH OUR EXPERT ADVICE.  WE HAVE BEEN TRADING FOR OVER 42 YEARS AND ARE FAMILY RUN.  OUR TRADING LONGEVITY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

POP IN AND SEE US - OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK.

BUYING A NEW MATTRESS

We encourage everyone to try out mattresses in a shop.  Buying on-line can be a waste of money and sometimes costly to return.

As a family business running for over 40 years, we ask that people try out a mattress before purchasing in our store.  Everyone is different, and there are lots of mattresses out there and with new technology making them more comfortable than ever before.

Beds for Everyone pride ourselves on our initial advice and follow up aftercare.  Should any problem arise with your purchase, we will do our very best to rectify it.  We want you to be fully satisfied and tell your friends and family about us.

We are open 7 days a week.  If you have never been before or never heard about us, please check us out, you will not be disappointed.

MATTRESS SETTLEMENT

It's important to understand that settlement is a normal characteristic of quality mattresses working as intended to conform to the shape of your body.

Rotate your mattress from end to end regularly to help minmise impression marks.  Unless it's single-sided, it's crucial that you also turn it over and end-to-end every week for the first few months and then about every three months afterwards.

If you tend to get hot in bed - choose a more well-ventilated mattress and base, and use a lightweight quilt.

Check your sizes - if you're buying a new mattress for a bedstead/bedframe, ensure you check that the dimensions of both products are compatible.

Smell - Like a new carpet or car - new bed may initially have a "new" smaell.  This will eventually disperse if well aired.

Your body will take a while to adjust to sleeping on a new sleep surface, so don't worry if your new bed doesn't immediately meet your expectations - give it time (up to 30 nights).

Replace your old base - this could be necessary if you inherited an old box spring base.  The old box spring will most likely not benefit a new modern designed mattress and could invalidate your warranty.

Bigger is better - If you share with a partner, a bigger bed means you're less likely to disturb one another.  Spend as much as your budget and space will allow.

Back to School - Declutter

What’s the problem with a messy bedroom?

Some believe a child’s room should be a sanctuary. As long as there are no dirty plates and food, what’s the harm in a bit of clutter?

A messy, cluttered bedroom can affect your child more than you might think, especially when it comes to bedtime. A bedroom should ideally not be a playroom full of distractions. Children who are overstimulated can struggle to settle down when it’s bedtime, so it’s important that children associate the bedroom as a place to sleep.

How do I help my child keep their bedroom tidy?

Not all of us have the luxury of having a separate playroom. If this is the case, compartmentalise the bedroom – an area for playing, and an area for sleep. Allow for the bed to become an area designated for just bedtime rather than an area where they can play. At the least, remove toys and gadgets or store away. By encouraging children to put away toys at the end of playtime will help to signal the start of a wind down bedtime routine.

Ideally TVs and other electronic display devices should be banned from the bedroom. If that’s impractical, keep them away from the bed and try to limit the use of these devices in the hour before bedtime. Blue light that’s emitted from digital devices can suppress melatonin production – responsible for that ‘sleepy feeling’ – and make it harder to fall asleep.

What are your tips for helping children keep their bedrooms tidy?

2021 Surcharges on imported products

By now you will have seen on the News, major disruption within UK ports, container shipping, and container availability over the past few weeks.

The result of this is that some operators have pulled away from supplying the UK altogether causing the remaining major operators to increase freight rates by 500% with further increases imminent.

The increase in container costs and also rising cost of raw materials cannot be fully absorbed by the UK importers.  The cost has to be shared between, importers, suppliers and retailers.

Unfortunately you will now see prices rising for many retail products such as beds and mattresses.  We are doing everything to keep our prices as low as possible and we hope the surcharges will level off throughout the coming trading year and we can then re-adjust our own prices to you, the consumer.

    BEDROOM TRICKS AND TREATS

As Halloween draws near, and you pursue your sorcerer’s kit,
And ponder how to find it!
Peer out from under the bed sheet
    And scrutinise your bedroom suite
    Is it cluttered and downbeat
Time to give your space a Treat
    Or Trick
    And exorcise that vroom-stick
Switch on your torch, become forensic,
Hunt down those monsters and defeat
What's piling up beneath your feet
    Recycle all that's obsolete
A chest of drawers will help consume
What’s turned into a messy room
Some Clever boxes help to store
Piles of clutter are no more
Your conjuring act is nearly done
With help from ‘BEDS FOR EVERYONE’
Now mist the air with fragrance sweet
    Hey Presto! Quest Complete.

Bed Sheets also have an impact. Synthetic materials can make you sweat.  We recommend our range of Breathable fitted Sheets and Pillow Cases which have permanent antibaterial protection that remains after repeated washing and tumble drying.
